At Amherst Barber Shop we offer haircuts for both the young and the "young at heart", both long and short hairstyles including flat tops both long and short military styles and civilian also. Short fades, standard taper cuts and even the occasional Don Eagle (Mohawk to you younger folks). Even though we cut mostly mens hair we do cut womens shorter styles, we are a barber shop though and as such we stay away from permanent waves (perms) and hair colors. If you have a question as to wether we'll do it for you just give us a call at 330-833-9071 and ask, I'll be happy to answer any questions and if we can't accomodate you I'll happily point you in the proper direction to get your needs met.
Children are a favorite of ours here at the Amherst Barber Shop if they'll sit still or you can hold them we'll cut their hair no matter their age, (I have cut children as young as nine months of age). So bring your kids down and keep them looking good for all those school and holiday functions.
Face Shaves, yes we do old fashioned straight razor face shaves with the hot towel treatments and aftershave as well. Some older gentlemen find shaving to be more difficult as they age, come on down and we'll clean you up with a nice straight razor face shave. One disclaimer here though if you or the person you are thinking of bringing in for a shave is on blood thinners even as minor as an aspirin daily we cannot shave them because the risk of bleeding is just to great. If this is the case I highly recomend the Braun line of electric shavers they are as close to a blade as you can get with an electric.
